The 90s Kid would remember the struggle of adjusting an antenna to get the signal to watch Ramayan(an epic tale of Lord Ram).
We all have great admiration for Ramayan, as it taught many life-altering lessons. Among all the lessons, my most favorite is when Mother Shabri met Lord Ram.
The episode began with Shabri arranging flowers on the road towards her cottage, with utmost happiness and unwavering belief that one day Ram would walk on this path to meet her.
Even after many ridiculed her faith to dismiss any chance of meeting her purpose, yet — without a fraction of doubt — she remained adamant. Mother Shabri wakes up daily, decorates the road with flowers, and then picks the berries for Ram.
She does all these with a smile on her face, enjoying every bit of her work for years. This episode reflects how powerful the belief Shabri had to achieve her ultimate goal — to meet Ram. She is the epitome of devotion to a particular one thing.
We all have different goals that we aspire to achieve. But most fail because they lack the conviction Mother Shabri had.
Most failed to display Grit, Patience, and Perseverance. Moreover, we don’t enjoy the process and the work that it necessitates to attain our goals. Some start but halt the process after one failure.
If you see this episode, you will notice that she never stopped working even after failing every day. She never felt she’d not achieve her goal. She never stopped believing. She cared nothing but her purpose.
An Entrepreneur must have grit, patience, perseverance, and discipline to act consistently on the right thing to thrive in business.
We all have failures, shortcomings, and days we want to forget, but still, why do some find a way amidst thick smog? Because they never lose sight of their ultimate goal.
